The time has come to sign up for your Kootenay Grain CSA (community supported agriculture) shares for 2011. This offer is only open to residents of RDCK–Regional District of Central Kootenay, British Columbia.
You can choose to order from the Lawrence farm and/or the Huscroft farm. For both farms, the details are as follows:
Full Share – 100 lbs. of grain $125.00
Up to two (0, 1, 2) 20-pound bags each of any listed grain, to a total of 100 pounds.
Half Share – 50 lbs. of grain $75.00
Up to two (0, 1, 2) 20-pound bags each of any listed grain, to a total of 50 pounds.
Note: final share composition is entirely dependent on harvest results. In the event of a shortage of one or more grains, the farmer reserves the right to make substitutions.
Here’s what each farm is growing. Remember that you can order multiple shares, including a full and/or a half share from one or both farms if that’s what makes the best combination for your family.
