Comment on Unofficial Town Council Forum by admin http://www.crestonfoodaction.ca/unofficial-town-council-forum/comment-page-1/#comment-206 admin Wed, 02 Nov 2011 18:58:26 +0000 http://www.crestonfoodaction.ca/?p=1106#comment-206 Jerry, I’m not privvy to the details, but I was asked to publicize the forum and have done so. You’d be best going to their link on Facebook (in the article) then clicking on the ‘Ask to Join Group’ button top right. Then you’ll be able to ask questions there. If, after a time, you’d prefer not to remain in the group, it’s easy enough to leave again. Thanks for commenting!

Comment on PLU Codes Do Not Indicate Genetically Modified Produce by Cassandra http://www.crestonfoodaction.ca/plu-codes-do-not-indicate-genetically-modified-produce/comment-page-1/#comment-105 Cassandra Tue, 05 Jul 2011 05:43:47 +0000 http://www.crestonfoodaction.ca/?p=983#comment-105 Let’s not forget our own Canadian Biotechnology action Network at cban.ca . They have some very good resources to offer.

Take note that most corn, soy and definately canola is GM and that almost anything processed in Canada seems to have canola oil in it. Sucrose-Fructose is the Canadian version of high fructose corn syrup, in everything, and is made form GMO corn. Not as easy to avoid as just skipping the papaya, zucchini, yellow squash, and some corn on the cob.

Unfortunately, this myth continues to circulate. Look to the GMO Shopping Guide on Jeffery Smith’s site to help you avoid GMO foods, and buy open-pollinated seeds and grow your own real food!

Wednesday, yes?

I’m pretty sure they do. Go Monsanto. On the other hand, it’s in my fridge.
